Malkasten is the home and studio of second-generation Hudson River School artist Albert Bierstadt, in Irvington-on-Hudson, New York. Architect Jacob Wrey Mould designed the imposing four-story residence and "show-studio" in 1865-1866. Bierstadt lived and worked here until 1882, when Malkasten was completely destroyed in a fire.
